TweenTribune is one of the free services available from the Smithsonian. It is designed for teachers and students in grades K-12. The site contains articles from the Associated Press related to science, history, art, culture, and current events. The articles are leveled by Lexile score. In addition to articles, TweenTribune offers images, videos, audio files, lesson plans, and assessment tools. Teachers can create a classroom account and assign articles to students. Students can post comments on the articles; comments are teacher-moderated.
