My StoryMaker is an interactive site maintained by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh designed to help students write stories. The site allows students to pick characters, a setting and other objects for their story. They even offer hints for what to write about. Once the story is complete, the story can be printed. My StoryMaker is a great writing tool for primary and intermediate students.

I am going to add this to my Homework Activity Board as an option for students to retell the weekly story. They can print it out and attach it to their homework board so I can see if they understood the story. I also like how when you add settings, character actions, etc. it types the words for you which is great for my first graders still working on sentence structure and their own writing.
I hope this works out for your students. Ashley. Keep me posted!
