Talks David Merrill: Siftables, the toy blocks that think

In Siftables, the toy blocks that think, a TED video, David Merrill demonstrates small, computerized blocks that manipulated to perform math operations, play music, share photos, and do a variety of other tasks.  I think Siftables could have a great impact on education – especially primary and special education. I used this clip with my kids today. We were talking about science fiction and what possible the future can bring. They loved it.

This is a great use for this video. I’m glad to hear your students liked it. Who knows — you might have inspired a few of them to start thinking of their own new inventions.
