The American Folklife Center is a site hosted by the Library of Congress with the intent to research and preserve American culture. The site contains digitized resources — including manuscripts, audio files, images, photographs, art — from all 50 states. Especially useful to educators is the Educational Resources section, which can be accessed through a link on the left sidebar. Here you can find lesson plans and resources on a variety of topics related to American culture and folklife, as well as guidelines for creating oral history projects with students.
